Default Old Johnnie Walker Black

I have an old, unopened JW Black. Trying to determine bottling date.

From what I read, I have to post this initial thread before I can attach photos.

More to come.

Can anyone give me an idea of when this may have been bottled.

This is from between 1952-1956. I can't quite make out the details of the tax stamp which may give some more detail as to when it was taxed

The Federal Tax Stamp is annotated "Series 111" that, I believe, dates the bottle between 1945 and 1972. I am having no luck tracking down, what I assume to be, the New York States Tax Stamp (No.B3039036).

Also, why isn't the King George V royal warrant displayed somewhere on the bottle or part of the labelling?

the date I have given (1952-56) is based on the tax strip and all the 3 labels in the image. If you can post a closer image of the tax stamp itself then possibly I can help you further with that. The royal warrant for KG V is not displayed because royal warrants run out 5 years after the monarch's death and KG V died in 1936. therefore nobody should have been using his warrant after 1941 and even in the period 1936-41 it would have said "by appointment to the late king george v" or just "the late king"
