I find it hilarious that I'm a smart ass for offering Jim Beam for Stagg Jr but him offering Stagg Jr for Pappy 15 SW adds up...

Thanks for the laughs

Skillz thinks he's sitting on a gold mine with his stagg jr. I don't think he comprehends the value of your pappy.

Stagg Jr will be released 3-4 times a year so don't see why the rush to hoard up on them. Better hope to dump them before next release...in about a month.

Stagg Jr. is currently trading at the same level as 24k gold. It may in fact be liquid gold. Must drink.

Let's try to keep things civil on the forums.
If talking about bourbon gets folks too hot and bothered, there are plenty of other hobbies.

Default Found Some High-end Bourbon

Over the week I went searching all of the local liquor stores and found the following:

5 - Old Van Winkle 10yr
2 - Van Winkle Special Reserve 12yr
1 - Pappy Van Winkle's Family Reserve 15yr
1 - Pappy Van Winkle's Family Reserve 20yr
2 - Thomas Handy Sazerac Straight Rye Whiskey 128.4 Proof
2 - Eagle Rare 17yr
2 - George T Stagg 128.2 Proof
1 Elijah Craig 21yr Single Barrel
2 - Stagg Jr Initial Release 134.4 Proof

Email me at gatoraccountant@yahoo.com if you are interested in making any trades.

Also, in my collection up for trade are 4 bottle of Jack Daniels 2011 Holiday Select (first year released 50% by volume(100 proof), 4 bottles of 4 bottle of Jack Daniels 2012 Holiday Select (approx. 90 Proof), 4 bottle of Jack Daniels 2013 Holiday Select (approx 100 proof).

Well, at the very least it will be entertaining... And I'll always know where to score Stagg Jr if I'm too lazy to drive to the nearest liquor store

Were these on the normal shelves, the 'special shelves,' or did you have to ask for them? I'm just fascinated by these being actually available and not waitlisted...

Buffalo Trace acquired Old Charter in what? 99? Old Charter had their 12 year old in 99, BT dropped the 12 and in 2002 (3 years later) came out with a 15 year old barrel proof called George T Stagg....

If folks are going to frown on BT's version of the Old Charter juice, and Stagg Jr is getting knocked about for it, Stagg Sr aint to far behind...

That's BS.... the best I can find in a WA liquor store (mind you we just got out of the dark ages with privatization finally) is the EH Taylor Small Batch for the "amazing price!" (No joke quoting the owner) of $60+ or the "top shelf" stuff... a magnum edition of Willet Pot Still. Mmmm.... $100+ for the fancy bottle!

I find this so hard to believe. In my area, either you are on a list, get extremely lucky, or you are in with the manager because you are good customer.
