Default Stagg Jr. Samples

I have a bit left of my bottle of Stagg Jr. I really do not like this juice. I would like to share this bottle with others who may want to try it, or do like it. I think I have about 6 oz or so. I'll send you a 2 oz. pour of the Stagg Jr, and an empty 2 oz Boston round and you send me a sample of something I would be interested in tasting.

Send me a PM.

There isn't anyone interested in trying this stuff? OK, I'll finish it off in a Manhattan and a potent mint julep.

I finally opened my bottle and I think it's very good considering the price and proof. It's not Stagg Sr but it's not supposed to be. I think this has received a bad rap based on an over expectation caused by the name. I don't get the secondary market price, but I also don't get that for most offerings. I would easily recommend this if you can find it on the shelf. It's a good entry level barrel proof for those wanting to grab something that's good at a reasonable price.

I think there's also a big difference between the original higher proof (134) release and 2014's lower proof release (128.7). RW&B had a good review distinguishing the two.

Some people prefer the original release over the new one. YMMV. I haven't tried the new release yet, but I'm quite fond of the original. No, it's not in the same league as Sr., but what else is? (Very few, depending on your tastes.)
