The question I have is, is it worth the $100. Or with the next release will I be able to easily pick up a bottle at the retail of $40. I'm seriously asking

Ok my scenario is that my buddy has the EC Barrel Proof I can have for a $100 or my local retailer has the EC 21yr old for $140. I've never tasted eother so I was wondering what the best use of my money would be. Either one of these two or save the money for something else??

Any Thoughts

Thanks

Jay

Everyone is a bit different right? I love high proof whisk(e)y. Now if you are talking about what is more collectable, I dont know. I am still trying to figure how four roses limited edition cask strength is so highly sought after and private barrel cask strength (same exact juice) four roses rots on the shelves ..

Awesome! I absolutely love the ECBP. Concerning the value to some, I value it, based on what it taste like, more so than many bottles that can fetch a few hundred dollars. I think the stuff is absolutely wonderful!!

Long time lurker. I love the ECBP and just picked up two cases myself. I think it isn't far off from this years GTS and is better by far than the Stagg Jr. I have a bottle of EC 21 I am working on and think I prefer the ECBP to it.

Picked up two cases of ECBP also. For the price point it is amazing.

I think the ECBP is better than the 2013 George T Stagg, and its not even a close call for me... IMO the ECBP is superior.

Mind you, these are not just words, I had no problem, no hesitation, and a big smile on my face when I traded one of my 2013 George T Staggs for 1 ECBP. I drink em, I dont stair at em, and I have to go with what I enjoy most. Pehaps future releases will be different, perhaps they wont and ECBP will continue to whoop up on George T Stagg, either way though, I am going to choose the one I personally enjoy more .

Sorry for the late response. I would give a slight edge to the GTS 13, but it's a photo finish for my palate and the ECBP hasn't got all the hype surrounding it. I have bunkered 9 bottles so far as it has become my daily sipper. Loves this stuff. If you want to send some GTS my way for some ECBP I will gladly make that trade
