If given a choice between that and the Glenlivet XXV which would you pick and Why?

I've never tasted either one. Is buying both an option?

If it had to be one or the other and I was buying without having tried either one I'd feel more comfortable with the Glenlivet, but really to be more accurate, my choice would actually be the non-Glenmorangie.

I have yet to find a single Glenmorangie that I liked no matter how many times I told myself I was going to buy one. Haven't found a Glenlivet I really liked either, but then the only one I've tried so far has been the 12 and it's possible I just need to explore further.

After I saw your reply, I checked out the pricing here in NC: Signet $199.95, Glenlivet XXV $399.95.

Ouch!!

Here's my 2 cents, and I'm not sure it's even worth that much:

The Signet's description online does not entice me to try it. I've had two Glenmorangies, Finealta and Nectar D'Or. Pleasant, but not great. I've had one Glenlivet, the 12 year old. Also pleasant, but not great.

But the Glenlivet was more delicate and interesting for me.

Although twice the price in my home state, and if I had $400 I could spare on a bottle of Scotch, I would go for the Glenlivet XXV.
