Default Minneapolis/St Paul next month

I'm in Pennsylvania with my car poised to hit Minnie in May.
Was to Total Wine in Cherry Hill, NJ on Sunday to pick up 2 bottles of Ardbeg 10 for $44 each but they were out.
Sometimes I think these special prices are a come on to get people into the store.

I hope Oscar is still around to advise me where the best deals will be when I come through.
The only Total Wine in the area there that carries Corry is out of the Corryvreckan again.

I wonder if Costco there has a decent selection of malt whisky?

Several years ago I lived in Philly. There was an amazing liquor store just across the border in Delaware, off of I-95. No tax and an outstanding single malt and whiskey selections at great prices. I used to buy Ardbeg 10 for less than $30 a bottle back then. I cannot remember the name of it, but if you can find it and are down that way, you should make a point of stopping in.

Bill,
I have been MIA for a while. I'll try to get some best buys coming your way soon.
Test the link below to make sure I'm doing it right.
I can send you links to my favorite stores. Some don't sell online.

Hi Oscar, I was hoping you were still with us. Thanks on the offer to advise on the best deals there. I will be coming in on I-94 so Morelli's will be an easy hit being so close to the interstate.

Just got this today:

(this is for the Bloomington store)
Wonder how long it will last?

Planning to be there after mid May but will leave PA sooner if it gets hot and muggy here.

I'm hoping to load up with quite a haul including about 10 bottles of Ardie 10.

Planning to bust outta PA on Sunday May 10 due to hot, hot, hot spell. This should put me into Minnie on Tues the 12th.
I hear the "Blue Max" liquor store is worth looking over.

Is Costco worth a visit there or are they only supplying the masses with Johnnie Walker Red? I'm a member.
Thanks for any input.

I got Lagavulin 16 at a Costco in Juneau for a pretty good price so even if the various branches have different stock it's probably worth going for a look.

The twin cities haul:

10 Balvenie DW 12
2 Corryvreckan
1 Dalmore 12 (40%)
1 Talisker 10
5 Ardbeg 10
1 Caol Ila
1 Cardhu 12 (40%)
1 Aberfeldy 12 (40%)
1 Glenfarclas 12
1 Springbank 10
1 Bunnahabhain 12

They took away my cart at Morelli's which had my list in it so when I got to Total Wine I was just guessing at which Scotches to get. I should have remembered to avoid the 40%ers but things were a bit hectic with Morelli's not accepting credit cards and Total Wine getting an "insufficient funds" report until I called the credit card co, and yes I got stuck in very slow rush hour traffic.
The Balvenies were $33.33 each at Morelli's before tax and 2 of the Ardbeg 10s were $35 at Ace.

I brought home a bunch of Armagnac and aņejo Tequila too.

Sounds like Total Wine, Claymont. The prices have soared over the past few years.
