Default Brand Help

Hello, i like to enjoy a glass of whisky. preferably macallan.s
So, my doubt is that someone gave me a bottle of one brand and i can't find anything about it. Is a black bottle and in the gold color label is the following:

"The Black Tulip
Very old selected scotch whisky
Rare and smooth as a black tulip
Sole proprietors
WB - World Wide blenders & bottler, ltd"

It seems and odd brand name and there's no record of the company with the records I've been able to check at various whisky sources.

Can you post some photographs to help

That's okay, 3 1/2 days, 3 1/2 years, it's all the same!

Good luck with finding out some more about your whisky, I'll be interested to know too.

The brand was registered in 1979 to the company trading in Glasgow but I feel that it was a one off and possibly only sold for a very short time. Back then there was so much excess whisky available that many companies were formed to promote single brands. One holding! company I know of had over 30 registered companies all having one or two brands most shipping to only one country each.
Hope this helps

Thank you for your help, it's something to start.
It's an odd brand and got curious with it.
If and when I get more information, I can add to this thread.
